La Ville Pas Chiante – An Alternative to the Generic City, Ariella Masboungi and Antoine Petitjean

This book sets out 10 challenges for escaping the generic city.
The authors argue for a city that is stimulating yet patient—constantly renewing itself—reconnecting with its landscapes, striving to be fair, supportive and permissive without becoming chaotic, and attentive to wellbeing and public health. Reintroducing work into the city, promoting co-production, and creating lively ground floors are among the actions explored: all are inspiring directions offered for debate.
